I’m thrilled to share that with my compositions “Chinese Requiem” and “Hakka for Orchestra” I was selected as one of the top four finalists for the prestigious 2026 Azrieli Commission for International Music. Out of over 370 applications from composers worldwide, being chosen among the final candidates represents an incredible honor.

The jury commended my work for demonstrating “exceptional musical quality and skill” and praised my “original musical voice” and “creative and compelling response to the Prize theme.” While I wasn’t ultimately selected for the commission, receiving this recognition from such a distinguished panel affirms my commitment to pushing creative boundaries and exploring new musical territories.

The Azrieli Music Prizes are renowned for celebrating innovation in contemporary classical music, and to have my work rise to the top alongside such talented composers from around the globe is both humbling and energizing.
